Running Backs
••••+ Corey Brown 5-11, 175, 4.47 Springfield Cardinal O'Hara
He could possibly be a five-star player if he wasn't so injury prone.
On Film–Corey, when healthy, is an exciting back with great vision, balance, and surprising power. We had him down in San Antonio over a year ago and I was impressed with his burst and vision. Very instinctive, he uses that great vision to find the hole, he can change directions fast, keeps his legs churning, and fights for every yard. Perfectly suited for a spread offense, he shows good hands, and when catching the ball out in space he can make things exciting. With a little bit more strength, and if he stays away from injuries, Corey has what it takes to become an impact player as a true freshman.

Talk about the complete RB, look no further than Mr. Kenney.
On Film–This guy is the total package, he can run, catch, and block. In fact, he's such a good receiver that a lot of scouts believe he will wind up playing as a slot back or WR in college. Extremely fast, he has good vision and strong hands. He runs with good power and is very effective between the tackles but even more effective once he hits the perimeter. One of the more athletic players in central PA.

Yes I have a picture
Future All-American
Rushel Schell 5-11, 215, 4.45 Aliquippa Hopewell
Here's my very early selection for the top prospect in the class of 2012. Over the past five years I've been pretty close in predicting ball players one or two years before the end of their junior year, and I believe Rushel has what it takes to rank as the #1 player in the country.
On Film–He can already do it all. On freshman film I was amazed at his size, speed, strength, vision, cutting ability, and production. He played like a high school senior and is tough, aggressive, very explosive, shows the ability to get his shoulders turned north and south, and hit the hole with power. Shows great vision, running instincts, he's able to find the hole quickly, and has that quick cutting style that only the great ones have. Plays at the same high school that produced Tony Dorsett.

His head coach swears by him.
On Film–After watching him, I can understand why. This guy's got excellent body control, very good speed, strong hands, and leaping ability. Another key to his game is his ability to run after the catch. He adjusts well to poorly thrown passes, gets to top speed quickly, and uses his size to get free off the line of scrimmage. Not super fast but does have the speed to take the ball the distance. Against Harrisburg High he caught 10 passes for 197 yds.

If you go by stats and production, Kevin would have to rank among the very best receivers in the east.
On Film–He seems very comfortable playing the WR position. He can see the whole field, runs precise and crisp routes, shows strong hands, and catches the ball outside his frame. He also has the speed and quickness to do a lot of damage after the catch. His film also shows Kevin as a prolific punt returner with the great burst, vision, and cutting ability.
Stats–Caught 47 passes for 1,294 yds totaling 23 TDs and averaging 27.5 yds per catch. Four of those TDs came on punt returns. He also totaled 32 tackles, 8 picks, and broke up 7 passes at CB. An All-American candidate at both WR and CB.

On Film–Jarrod shows the quickness to separate out of his cuts, he's very elusive, catches the ball with his hands, and shows good leaping ability. He also does a good job of shielding defenders from the ball and can make tough catches look easy in traffic. He can also adjust to passes outside his frame.

Tight Ends
•••• Kyle Baublitz 6-4, 250, 4.9 Central York
Here's one of the ball players that really impressed me down in San Antonio. He worked out with the tight ends and with the middle linebackers and looked good on both sides of the ball.
On Film–A big kid with very good quickness, he does not have flat out speed, but is as quick as can be. A smart ball player, he's very motivated and he always seems to be in the right place at the right time. On defense he moves very well laterally and also shows the quickness to make plays from sideline to sideline. Has the frame to possibly wind up playing DE. On offense he's a sure handed receiver with outstanding blocking skills. Highly competitive, he's able to catch high passes in traffic and does a good job of securing the ball.

•••• Kenny Wilkins 6-4, 230, 4.7 Washington Trinity Catholic
As far as pure ability is concerned he should rank as the #1 TE in the state.
On Film–He's equally adept at the DE position. A physical ball player, he can bend off the edge and shows a great burst and closing speed. On offense he's a sure handed receiver who can run with the ball after the catch. He's also quick enough and shows enough moves to be a major threat once he gets out in the open. Plays on a run oriented team but certainly shows All-American receiving skills.

Shows excellent feet and technique, and he may have improved his quickness by playing tennis. His father is the tennis coach at PITT. Miles fires off the ball well, shows very good lateral movement, delivers a hard knock to the defender, and does a great job of finishing off his blocks. Not yet as strong as he will be, but he presents a great frame, long arms, quick feet, and a tremendous attitude to college scouts. Also shows knee and hip flexibility and blocks with leverage. He dominates the point of attack and is just a good combination of size, quickness, and strength. I was also impressed with his ability to quickly get out of his stance and slide out to cut off edge pass rushers.

He's a good sized OL with long arms, good feet, and he shows the quickness to slide to the outside to cutoff would-be sacks. Has good lower body strength, sets a very solid base, and gets pretty good leverage for a 6-8 tackle. Big things are expected of him during the '09 season.

On Film–He showed explosive moves off the ball, very good strength, and the ability to get out in space and block down on linebackers. He has two years to grow and mature, and should be one of the more heavily recruited centers for the class of 2011.
Grades–His GPA is 3.2. Benches 315.
Future All-American

Arthur Rowell 6-3, 270 Harrisburg Central Dauphin
The coaches here are excited about this young OG.
On Film–He shows outstanding pass protection skills, quick feet, and he's very smart. He started every game since his freshman year and was a dominator in the Cumberland Valley and Bishop McDevitt games. He could play guard or center at the next level if he improves the way he did this past year. Also plays NG on defense.
Stats–Totaled 40 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 pick, and 1 caused fumble.
Other Sports–Averages 5 points and 8 rebounds a game as a center in basketball.

Defensive Linemen
••••+ Sharrif Floyd 6-3, 295, 4.9 Philadelphia George Washington
He took everyone by surprise down in San Antonio last January, and along with OO from Oregon, he dominated the defensive line competition. Every top OL he went up against talked about his strength, quickness, and burst.
On Film–He is a good combination of size, strength, quickness, and athletic ability. He works real hard to disengage and get to the ball. Down in San Antonio he showed five-star ability on but on film he showed more four-star ability. So 2009 should be a big coming out party for Mr. Floyd either at DE or DT. His film also shows him playing OG and OT but he does have the quick feet, athletic ability, and body control to become an outstanding DT at the next level. His best game was the city championship game where he dominated the middle of the line. He does a great job of clogging up the middle. He can stand blockers up at the point of attack showing the strength and leverage to hold his ground and find the ball. He was also able to make tackles in pursuit, which is another reason why he is so heavily recruited.
Stats–Totaled over 50 tackles, 2 sacks and 7 tackles for losses in '08 and was bothered by an ACL tear for part of the season.
Favorite Schools–MIAMI, BC, NC, PENN STATE, SYRACUSE, WV, FL, GA, IL, PITT, SC, UCLA, and MI.
•••• Jordan Paskorz 6-4, 230, 4.74 Allison Park Hampton
An outstanding two-way end who has also played some LB at the high school level.
On Film–He shows very good speed and quickness for his size, he's aggressive off the ball, is very consistent in reading and reacting to plays, gets to full speed in the blink of an eye, and is able to track down ball carriers when in pursuit. I was very impressed with his film as a sophomore at the DE position. Has the frame to weigh 260 in college, he's very strong at the point of attack and can bend off the edge.
Stats–Had 12 sacks as a sophomore and has totaled over 20 for his prep career. He has been a starter since his freshman year.
Other Sports–He's been timed in an 11.7 100 meters and has thrown the shot 50' 4" and the discus 125' in track.
Grades–His GPA is 3.6. Benches 330 and has a 33" VJ.
Favorite Schools–Committed to MICHIGAN.
•••• Aaron Donald 6-1, 260, 4.9 Pittsburgh Penn Hills
If you are looking for a DT or NG with enormous strength, a great attitude, and very good all around athletic ability, look no further than Mr. Donald.
On Film–He shows the speed, quickness, and power that would allow him to dominate at the college level. He's a very competitive player and plays with a passion that is hard to find in prep players. He shows good initial quickness and very active hands and feet. He never stops moving and the surprising thing about Mr. Donald is his ability to get to the QB. Not only does he shows good initial speed but also a very good closing burst, which surprises many QB's.
Stats–Earned All-Western PA honors at DT after totaling 80 tackles and 14 QB sacks to go with 4 caused fumbles and 2 picks.
Grades–His GPA is 2.7. Benches 395.
Favorite Schools–His brother, Archie Donald, plays ball at Toledo. Aaron is committed to PITTSBURGH.
•••• Khaynin Mosley-Smith 6-2, 280, 4.7 Pittsburgh Woodland Hills
You've got to love his combination of quickness and strength.
On Film–K-K is a force to be reckoned with. His film shows him playing both DE and DT but I believe he has what it takes to become a dominating DT in college. He uses his athleticism to be a disruptive force who is excellent in pursuit, and he can control blockers well with his long arms and strong hands. He is also able to defeat the double team. He finds the ball fast and shows good lateral quickness. In the Fox Chapel game he totaled 15 tackles with twelve of them coming for losses.
Stats–Recorded 125 stops, 5 sacks, 30 tackles for losses, and 2 caused fumbles on his way to earning All-Western PA honors. He also caught 4 passes and 1 TD at TE.
Other Sports–He's been timed in a 12 flat 100 meters and has thrown the shot put over 47' in track.
Grades–His GPA is 2.2. Benches 350.
Favorite Schools–Committed to PITTSBURGH.
•••+ Richard Gray 6-2, 250, 4.7 Pittsburgh Woodland Hills
This team appears to be absolutely loaded. He played alongside Mosley-Smith last season and complimented him sell.
On Film–He is quick off the ball showing good lateral speed, very good strength, and the strength to collapse the pocket. He played more DE and OLB last season but has the frame to possibly grow into a DT.
Grades–His GPA is 2.3 and he scored an 1140 on the SAT. Benches 350.
Favorite Schools–PITT, MI STATE, OH, and WV.
Future All-American
Noah Spence 6-3, 230, 4.7 Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt
Remember you heard it here first, this young man will become an All-American for the class of 2012.
On Film–I rarely watch any freshman play ball but this year there are two in Pennsylvania that really stood out and Noah is one of them. His quickness, strength, and eye for the ball are remarkable for a freshman, and he already shows some good hand fighting moves along the line and became a reliable pass rusher in '08. Blessed with big hands, long arms, and a great frame, he should be 6-5, 285 by the time he's a senior.
Stats–Totaled 40 tackles, 9½ sacks, and 15 tackles for losses on his way to earning 1st Team All-League honors as a freshman.
Grades–His GPA is 3.4. Benches 275.
Favorite Schools–His father, Gregory Spence, played at North Carolina State. His favorites are NC STATE, PENN STATE, VA TECH, PITT, VA, FL, and FSU.

Linebackers
••••+ DaKota Royer 6-3, 220, 4.6 Manheim Central
The #1 prospect in Central PA and the #1 overall prospect in the state of Pennsylvania. This guy's stats are off the charts.
On Film–He proves to be a very good combination of speed, strength, technique, hustle, and he's a player who can do it all. On defense he plays the game on his feet and he's always around the ball showing great timing and anticipation. On offense, he's a sure handed slot receiver with the size and speed that can drive a defensive back crazy. His defensive film shows an OLB who has the acceleration and closing burst to finish plays. He has the size and strength to take on blockers, hold his ground, and then find the ball. He closes very quickly and then delivers hard hits. A pure pass rusher, he has tremendous agility and closing burst.
Stats–One of those rare players who earned 1st Team All-State honors on both sides of the ball after totaling 86 tackles, 13 sacks, and 32 tackles for losses at DE. He also caught 56 passes for 1,099 yds and 6 TDs averaging 20 yds per catch at WR.
Other Sports–Has thrown the shot put 55' and the discus 147' in track.
Grades–His GPA is 3.6. Benches 305 and has a 37" VJ.
Favorite Schools–PENN STATE, MI STATE, NOTRE DAME, OR, PITT, MD, IL, and BC.
••••+ Mike Hull 6-1, 215, 4.5 Canonsburg Canon McMillan
A special player who runs better than most of the nation's top LB's.
On Film–He's an instinctive and hard working defender who uses his hands well and who can get to the ball in a hurry. He works hard to improve his game watching a lot of film and becoming a student of the game. He will be a four year starter this year and is a leader on the film who shows quick feet. Because of his speed, he can consistently make tackles downfield. He's super when in pursuit.
Stats–Recorded 96 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 pick in '08 after totaling 117 tackles as a sophomore and 109 as a freshman. On offense he ran for 850 yds at RB and totaled 1,300 yds as a sophomore.
Other Sports–Batted .325 as a centerfield in baseball and was 36 and 5 as a sophomore wrestler at 215 pounds.
Grades–His GPA is 3.8. Benches 375 and has a 30" VJ.
Favorite Schools–Committed to PENN STATE.
•••• Manessah Garner 6-3, 210, 4.55 Pittsburgh Brashear
If you go by pure athleticism Manessah may be the best athlete in western PA.
On Film–I was completely surprised during my trip to Pittsburgh at how good this young man really is. On offense he's a sure handed receiver who catches everything within reach and sometimes balls that appear to be out of reach. He can turn up field quickly, runs through tackles, and shows very good speed for a 210 pounder. Has All-American ability at the WR position but I also believe he has All-American ability at LB where he shows good instincts, is able to shed blocks and make tackles, he accelerates to full speed quickly, and shows the big-time speed needed to track down fast ball carriers. He flies around the field making plays against the run and in coverage. He has the potential to become a dominating player.
Stats–Averaged close to 20 yds per catch on offense and totaled over 80 tackles on defense.
Other Sports–Runs a 4.22 shuttle and has a 9' 2" standing broad jump.
Grades–His GPA is 3.0. He has a 31" VJ.
Favorite Schools–PITT, PENN STATE, WV, MN, MD, WI, and BC.
•••+ Myles Davis 6-0, 220, 4.85 Pittsburgh Penn Hills
Here's an LB I really like watching on film.
On Film–He plays OLB and some DE and gives 100% on every play. Excellent in pursuit, he does a good job of taking on and shedding blockers and can get up field in a hurry showing a good closing burst. He also dominates at the point of attack with his super strength. He can keep his pads low and blast blockers off the ball. In the Central Catholic game he totaled 10 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and was without a doubt the most dominating player in the game.
Stats–For the season he had 73 tackles, 10 sacks, 18 tackles for losses, and 3 caused fumbles on his way to earning All-League honors. Also played some TE on offense.
Other Sports–Has thrown the shot put over 46' in track.
Grades–His GPA is 2.6 and he scored a 760 on the SAT. Benches 390 and has a 36" VJ.
Favorite Schools–Committed to SYRACUSE.
••• Matt Heilig 6-5, 205, 4.7 Harrisburg Central Dauphin
A tall, rangy OLB who on film plays a very physical game.
On Film–He's always flying to the ball and plays hard until the whistle. As versatile as they come, he could wind up playing DE, OLB, or TE at the next level. His motor is going at 100% at all times and he never lets up.
Stats–Totaled 64 tackles, 4 sacks, and 8 tackles for losses last season.
Grades–His GPA is 3.1. Benches 255 and has a 32" VJ.
Favorite Schools–His father played football at Arizona State. Matt's favorites are PITT, ASU, NC STATE, VA, TN, and DUKE.
••• Delbert Tyler 6-0, 225, 4.59 Monroeville Gateway
Perfectly suited for the LB position.
On Film–He plays both OLB and ILB and can make tackles from sideline to sideline. He is a hard hitter who never lets up. Shows good quickness and change of direction skills, he's best when attacking the line. He shows a nose for the ball and wraps up once he gets there. Very fast and very motivated.
Stats–Totaled 125 tackles, 5 sacks, and 2 picks.
Grades–His GPA is 3.0. Benches 315 and has a 33" VJ.
Favorite Schools–PITT, WV, BUFFALO, TOLEDO, BC, and MI.
••• Carlows Brown 6-1, 250, 4.8 McKeesport Area
Lows was brought to my attention by his coach who believes he's got Division I skills.
On Film–I also believe he has Division I skills but he could wind up playing NG at the next level. Needs to add some weight and strength, but he's already an outstanding run stuffer with good initial speed, body control, and quick hands. Tough and motivated, he's a defender who will not stay blocked. I was particularly impressed with the Upper St. Clair game in which he was a defensive force totaling 9 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
Grades–His GPA is 2.6. Benches 300 and has a 30" VJ.
Favorite Schools–PITT, WV, IL, PURDUE, MI STATE, and IN.

Defensive Backs
•••• Cullen Christian 6-1, 180, 4.5 Pittsburgh Penn Hills
A very underrated cover corner, I consider him to be one of the very best in the country.
On Film–#24 really impressed me with his closing speed, footwork, backpedal, and smarts. He is a sure tackler who is known for his ability to jam receivers at the line, and he can out jump almost every WR he goes up against. A very big corner, he has excellent technique and shows the ability to identify plays quickly. He also shows the athleticism to reach around the receiver and break up a pass without fouling.
